Music Ministry

Music in worship is one of the many ways we express our faith. Joining a musical ensemble is a way to share our God-given talents and be part of a rich community within the larger church. Participants in our ensembles range from music enthusiasts with no training to music professionals who love to share their talent and faith through the arts. In other words, no matter what your musical background, you are welcome here!

prince of peace choir

Open to adults and high school students. Meets Wednesdays from 7:15 – 8:45 pm from late August through Pentecost Sunday.

The Prince of Peace Choir offers music weekly at the 10:30 am worship service, as well as at other services occasionally, and participates in special concerts throughout the year as part of our concert series. The requirements for membership are enthusiasm, energy, and effort; no audition is required! We work together to develop a collective sense of community – musically and spiritually – that enables us to share God’s love through music with one another and with the congregation.

The Concerts at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church is a series of concerts designed to feature local and national artists. The presentation of these events is one of the many ways Prince of Peace invites the community to gather.

Donate to the Concert Series

HANDBELL CHOIR

Open to interested participants who can read music. Meets Wednesdays from 8:45 – 9:30 pm.

This ensemble makes use of the three octaves of handbells and chimes and rings about once a month in worship. Although the ability to read music is helpful, this ensemble is open to anyone who has an interest and can make a regular commitment.

SUNDAY SCHOOL CHOIR

Open to children in grades 2-5.
Meets on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am during the school year.

Our Sunday School children enjoy a weekly musical experience led Jamie Blair, in a warm, welcoming environment where students explore their unique musical and artistic talents, grow in faith, experience meaningful traditions of the church, and offer their gifts in worship and praise! The children sing regularly at the 9 am worship service.

SYMPHONIC BAND

Open to middle school youth, high school youth, and adults with at least one year of instrumental experience. This ensemble plays during worship at the 9 and 10:30 am services four times a year with rehearsals prior to each performance.
