We are studying the Psalms this year for our adult study. 

The Book of Psalms is a treasure of the Church. We sing from it in worship, and individually. It comprises many moods of our faith: praise, lament, fear, suffering, yearning, wisdom. It feeds us by providing resources for living out our faith as well as putting it to words and prayer. And, often to music! Quite likely if asked to recite the alphabet you could sing it from a teaching song you learned many years ago. The Psalms (sometimes called the psalter when sung) are a collection of teaching songs that both preserved the faith and inspired new generations in much the same way.

Your Bible is the only text/prayer/song book that you need! Of course, if you don’t see a group or time that works for you feel free to start your own small group, or dinner discipleship group, study on your own, or some hybrid mixing zoom introductions by Rev Dr. Rachel Wrenn (Sept 7-13) and our music director Jeremy Bankson (Jan 11-17) with weekly or bi weekly discussion! Think of all the possibilities for this portion of scripture to bless you … in faith, worship, fellowship, community! We hope you’ll join us as we grow.
